2017: Sarah was admitted to multiple MFA Directing programs, & plans on attending Southern Illinois University in the Fall on a full scholarship! When not in her native home of New York City she'll be living in Illinois pursuing her graduate studies till the year 2020.
2016: Sarah was selected to Direct "Outside Mullingar" by John Patrick Shanley at Naples Players in Florida for her first Summer Stock Regional Theatre experience! She'll be away from NYC from August to October to bring this show to life.
2016: Sarah was admitted into the highly competitive and prestigious SITI Company's Summer Workshop for Viewpoints/Suzuki Method training.
2015: Sarah was selected to participate and become a member of the very first Director's Lab Melbourne in none other then Melbourne, Australia. She's truly honored and humbled by such an offering!
2015: Award Nominations: "Crave" and "Wildlife" were nominated for Outstanding Revival Production and Outstanding One-Act Production respectively at Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.
2015: She was selected to participate and become a member to Directors Lab West in Los Angeles.
2014: She was selected as 1 of 12 emerging theatre directors around the world (1st American Director) to participate and become a member of the 2014 Insted-Israel Directing Lab.
2014: She was selected and participated as 1 of 7 Directors to be apart of The Dirty Blondes' "F*** The Summit: Play-in-a-Day Festival" out of over 100 applicants.
2014: She directed a pilot for a National College Tour of the new play "Bill W. & Dr. Bob", having it's abridged debut at the Off-Broadway Soho Playhouse.
2014: She directed "Fixing Bob" apart of The Secret Theatre's Long Island City One-Acts Competition, where this play made it to both the Semi-Finals and the Finals of the Play Competition (1 of 6 selected out of 30 plays).
2013: Sarah was nominated for Outstanding Direction of a Staged Reading for the play "In Loving Memory" at Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.
2012/2011: She directed the play "Habibi" at Manhattan Theatre Source- where it won the audience favorite award in 2011. She produced/directed the play again the following year at Off-Broadway's Lynn Redgrave Theatre.
2011: She also directed the short play "Poodles of Love" in Manhattan Theatre Source's 2011 TestoTwist Festival (the 3rd week of the TestoGenius Festival), which is chosen to have an encore performance in the Playwright's Festival at The American Theatre of Actors for best direction and best overall production.
In my years creating theatrical pieces and experiences for an audience, I've come to learn that I'm most excited about psychological works while still utilizing the theatre to expose problems that are currently an issue in our society to help promote social change.
